Face Mask Review: Rose Stem Cell Mask

Hi Beauties!

There are so many masks on the market that it is hard to keep up! I received a great gift from my mother which was a mask set from @PeterThomasRoth. I’ve only used one of the three which is the Rose Stem Cell one and I’ll share my results below.

Rose Stem Cell Gel mask

1. The mask helped with my puffy eyes. I can admit that at times I go to bed late and my under eye area suffers. After using this mask about twice a week on and off for two months, I was pleased with the results since my eyes were not as puffy and the circles were not as deep. Below is my before and after picture. The time between the pics was 2 months. Bonus: by putting the mask in the fridge and sleeping with it gave me some extra tingles and it felt amazing!

My results!

2. My skin was glowing! The glow that you get after removing the mask is absolutely amazing! Usually, once I put on my moisturizer I have a glow but directly after removing the mask my skin had a JLo glow! This was my favorite part of the mask because you feel rejuvenated and fresh faced.

3. It stayed true to the claims. On the bottle, the masks claims to brighten ✔️ tone ✔️ hydrate ✔️ and firms ✔️. This is pretty impressive because there are a lot of creams and masks that claim they are supposed to do what they are supposed and some fall short. Fortunately, this stayed true and I was able to check all of the claims! Bonus: the applicator to apply the mask comes with a textured side and when you massage the gel on your face it feels so soothing and cooking.

I’m happy to report 1 out of 3 is plus and I will report later regarding the other two masks. Enjoy your Sunday!

Skincare Routine for Winter (Morning)

Hi Beauties!

I’ve been getting questions regarding my skincare routine for the wintertime and it definitely differs from all of the seasons. Like I mention in my last post, I suffer with severe eczema in the early fall-winter and by spring and summer it discipates. However, in the winter my flare ups are the worst and most painful. During this time I take extra care in moisturizing the dry areas.

Continue to read below on the products that I use:

Morning time products

1. First and foremost, in the morning I usually wash my face with just lukewarm water but if I have a pimple I use, CVS Health, Daily Acne Wash. This product is a great dupe for Neutrogena’s Oil Free Acne Wash. My pimples usually clear up within a couple of days and it doesn’t over dry my skin.

2. Next, when my skin is still moist and a little wet, I take a dollop of the First Aid Beauty’s Ultra Repair Cream and apply all over my face. This is a great base that maintains moisture all through your day.

3. Then, I apply Algenist Beauty, Concentrated Reconstructing Serum all over my face and it’s not too thick at all. This serum was from a box set and my full review of the set will be coming soon but this is my fav from the set. It’s smooth and gives your skin the best natural glow.

4. Next, I apply Algenist Beauty, Complete Eye Renewal Balm. I use this day and night and I have seen such a reduction in under eye puffiness and dark circles. It’s the best!!

5. Last but not least, the most important! Murad, Perfecting Day Cream, Board Spectrum, SPF 30. Beauties! We all need to use sunscreen all year round to protect our precious faces from sun exposure and free radicals. This cream is thick and a little goes a long way. The ladies in my family are prone to moles so I use this everyday and have noticed a slow down on the amount I was developing.

no makeup on but lipstick and great skincare

Overall, I take my skincare very seriously and you all should since we only get blessed with one gorgeous face and you are never too young to start!

Ultra Repair Cream Review

Hi beauties!

I hope you are all well. This post is dedicated to all of my eczema suffers out there. For those that suffer, know that the winter is the WORST for this painful skin condition and sometimes it feels like you can’t find relief from anything. I was feeling pretty hopeless last month when my eczema was in full swing and it was affecting my hands the most. I had blisters, redness, swollen fingers and most annoying it itched like crazy!

My dermatologist had me on steroid creams and really said that there was really nothing else he could do and I quite frankly was sick of prescriptions. Because I have such a fabulous mother, she’s a QVC/HSN addict and there was a cream being advertised specifically for eczema and severe dry skin. I was totally skeptical at first, but figured I would give it a try. Here are my thoughts after using First Aid Beauty: Ultra Repair Cream:

  1. It’s extremely thick, but non greasy. I used it multiple times throughout the day and found my hands were baby bottom soft after putting the cream on. My hands looked greasy but they felt very smooth.
  2. A little goes a long way. The cream is so thick that all you really need is a dollop for your face, which I applied on the dry spots where my eczema was, then I applied my regime of serum, moisturizer, and eye cream. I pretty much used it as a base. In the past when I put my other creams on, my face would get dry and patchy by mid day, however by using this cream it lasted and moisturized all day. Big plus for me 👍🏾
  3. One con, is that after I applied on my hands, I rubbed my hands and it seemed like I had flakes of the cream coming off but it could be that I just have to exfoliate better.
  4. It’s Allergy tested, no Parabens, harsh chemicals or Colorants. This is a huge benefit for me. My skin is EXTREMLY sensitive and I cannot use every product that says “sensitive skin approved” however this product is the real thing and worth it. My skin did burn after initially putting it on but that is normal for eczema suffers since your skin is inflammed.

great buy!!

Overall, I give this product at A- and it’s affordable as well. It was priced for 2 jars at 14. Oz for $43.00 dollars on QVC. Like I mentioned before, a little goes a long way and below I have my before and after pictures. Let know your thoughts!

Nighttime Routine 101

After that long night out or strenuous  kickboxing class, getting into a routine of cleansing and restoring our faces is crucial to our overall well being. We are all guilty of not washing our face  before bed and leaving on our heavily beat face but we must get into a routine just like mom taught us at 3 but now adding a few more steps. The end result being a glowing face in the morning.

(Scroll down to view product photos)

1. I start with first using e.l.f Cosmetics, Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths $3.00 USD to take off my makeup from earlier that day. I do this before I shower so I’m not stuck with raccoon eyes after I get out of the shower and my face will be ready to be cleaned. The quality of these wipes are great for their price and do well on my sensitive skin.

2. Next, I apply Oil Free, Daily Acne Wash, by CVS health $4.29 USD. I have been using this for the past 3 months and it’s a great duplicate for Neutrogena’s Oil Free Acne Wash $6-7.29 USD.  I usually stay with brands, however CVS had a great deal one day and I tried  it and it didn’t over dry my combination skin at all and prevented breakouts and some that I had already.

3. Next, after cleansing, I apply  Neutrogena’s Pore Refining Toner $6.99 USD. I use cotton balls to apply and do this twice a week. I wouldn’t recommend doing this daily as it may dry out your skin, however, if your skin is on the oily side, it may benefit by doing it more frequently. Also, if your on a budget good old fashion Witch Hazel is a great alternative and is about half the cost depending on where you purchase it.

4. Next, I apply a new product I just started using and I LOVE it. It’s a serum by European Wax Center, Renew Me, Restoring Serum, $20.50 USD. My waxer asked me to try it and like to do samples first but I had just ran out of my old serum and I gave this a try and it’s awesome! It smells wonderful and it’s very light, which a serum should be since it restores and adds back the things our face needs. Also, it leaves your skin with a great glow too. I apply all over my face with 2-3 pumps.

5. Last but surely not least, I apply my eye cream. I have been using Algenist, Complete Eye Renewal Balm, $65.00 USD. This choice is more on the pricey side but it’s worth every penny! I noticed last year that I was developing bags under my eyes and I decided to try this eye balm. The Sephora associate gave me the tip that I apply with my pinky and that I do not need much for the eye area so you can make this bottle last. Since using it for a year my eyes are less puffy and my dark circles diminished. Definitely a skincare staple for a woman in her early 30s.

Although it’s sometimes a pain to take the time to go through a nighttime routine, the benefits of glowing, restored, clean skin outweigh it all!
